Anti-poverty group that helped Obama ‘advises prostitutes’
Giles Whittell in Washington Recommend? (14) It was meant to be an anti-poverty group that helped to elect President Obama. But a provocatively dressed journalist and a colleague posing as her pimp have exposed the left-wing Acorn foundation as an advice centre for prostitutes. A series of stings carried out with hidden cameras and outlandish costumes have forced the White House to distance itself from Acorn and triggered a criminal inquiry in New York State and a demand for an investigation from Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Governor of California.
