I once came up with the "rule of 13" for the ages of man. At 13, a boy becomes a man, at 2x13=26, a man typically becomes a husband; at 3X13=39, a man on is the verge of "life begins at 40"; at 4x13=52, a man enters the final third of his career and hopefully has found his purpose in life; at 5x13=65, he retires; at 6x13=78 a man has roughly completed his life expectancy; at 7x13 he attains the age of 91, likely the maximum age he will live to.
These correspond roughly the the Seven Ages shown in the artwork above. |
